Did you know there is a difference between your thoughts and feelings? That technically they are not the same thing? That actually they are quite different experiences altogether? This is what I learned, among many other things, during my conversation with Tim or as he would put it: The World According to Tim. At first I was baffled hearing this as I had always thought of feelings and emotions to be synonymous.

I found this interview to be enlightening and heartening all at once.

I remember the first time I met Tim. I sat down in his office, he explained the work he did, then he asked me one poignant question, which I cannot recall now. What I do remember is the river of tears that seemingly came out of nowhere. As a child that grew up in therapy, since the ripe age of 5, this one session with Tim was more powerful and cathartic than the 30+ years of previous therapy. Tim does not consider himself a counselor or therapist, and you will hear him talk about that, and what the work is that he actually does, but all this is to say, if you are curious about self-reflection, growth, and learning something insightful about us as one human family, this episode is for you.
